May 19th Update

May 13th Update
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, swimming lessons and the start of the pool season is delayed until further notice.
We are continuing to monitor the COVID-19 situation closely and will follow the advice of the Province of Manitoba and health officials to adjust our business practices as needed, when this information is made available.
We know swimmers will be eager to enjoy our wonderful pool, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back when pools are able to open.
Discussions about changes, restrictions and schedules to the pool season are ongoing.  Check back for further updates and new schedule.

May 4th Update
The Town of Carman is opening playgrounds in the community. Please follow the instructions posted at each facility to ensure you are following proper distancing and only use equipment if you meet the proper criteria.

Hockey Camp registration will be on Monday June 1st at 7am.
Campground Registration begins Wednesday May 6th at 7am.

Garbage tags can be purchased from Lite Stop and the Homestead Co-op Gas Bar
Transfer Station Hours will remain on winter hours until further notice: Monday, Wednesday and Friday 1pm-4pm and Saturday 11am-4pm, Closed Tuesday and Thursday

Town of Carman and RM of Dufferin COVID-19 Response- Cancellations, Announcements and Postponements Listed at the Bottom of this Page

After meeting with their Municipal Emergency Coordinator, the Town of Carman and the RM of Dufferin will be enacting a number of preventative measures aimed at helping to slow the spread of COVID-19 and to minimize its impact on our health care system and in our community.

We encourage all members of the public to visit, which is being updated continuously by the Province of Manitoba with information on its response. Health-related questions or concerns about COVID-19 can also be directed to Health Links – Info Santé at 204-788-8200 or 1-888-315-9257. We encourage all residents to follow public health advice related to self-monitoring and self-isolation if you have traveled or have been exposed to someone ill with the virus and to practice safe social distancing.

The health and safety of our employees and the public, as well as maintaining essential services, are our top priorities. As such, the following facilities will be closed to the public effective immediately:

  • Memorial Hall
  • Carman Water Treatment Plant
  • Carman Dufferin Arena
  • Carman Dufferin Fire Hall
  • Town of Carman Public Works Shop
  • RM of Dufferin Public Works Shop
  • Ryall Park Public Washrooms

At this point the Transfer Station and Recycling Depots will remain open at their regular hours.
