The Three R’s – Recruitment, Retention and Recognition
Our volunteers are critical to the success of our programs and services and this session deals with the three crucial areas to bring out the best in their involvement and participation in your organization and within your community. Especially important for our tireless volunteers and their supervisors!

Session 2: 1pm – 4pm
Roles and Responsibilities of the Non Profit Board
This workshop explores some of the governance issues experienced by directors on not for profit volunteer boards. Learn the basic responsibilities and legal duties of the board directors and gain an understanding of the important differences between operations and governance.

Saturday May 13th

Session 1: 9am – 12pm
Social Media for Non Profits
Every day, more and more non-profits are discovering the value of being active on social media. Having a social media presence can be an excellent way to market your non-profit, and it’s free! Attend this workshop to learn the basics of social media for non-profits (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.) and how your organization or group can utilize these tools to better communicate with your members, other groups and the community at large.

Session 2: 1pm – 4pm
Website Development
Your website is your entrance into your organization or business! Learn how to create and maintain a website that will bring clients and customers to your door. We will explore creation, maintenance and ongoing review of a website and look at practical and low cost applications and licensing sites.

Saturday May 27th
Session 1: 9am – 12pm
Customer Service Training
What does it mean to give good customer service and is the customer really always right?
Session 2: 1pm – 4pm
Safe Working Environments
Working safely, younger workers, theft prevention and more!
